ORDE PASSERIFORMES Zangvogels
Familie Orthonychidae. Alle drie soorten stronklopers zijn endemische soorten uit Australië en Nieuw-Guinea. Deze vogels zijn insecteneters, die hun voedsel in de strooisellaag zoeken in kleine groepjes of in paren. Bij verstoring vliegen ze op en daarbij maken de vleugels een snorrend geluid.De lichaamslengte bedraagt 18 tot 20 cm.
